13 Days/ 12 Nights
Day 1 – Arrival in Santa Cruz
Meet and greet at Viru Viru International Airport and transfer to the hotel. Free day to rest and acclimatize. Santa Cruz, located in eastern Bolivia, offers warm weather, delicious food, and a unique mix of modernity and tradition. Optional: visit the 24 de Septiembre Square and the Old Town.
Day 2 – Santa Cruz – Flight to Sucre
Transfer to the airport and flight to Sucre, Bolivia’s constitutional capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, city tour including the House of Liberty, Metropolitan Cathedral, San Felipe Neri church, and La Recoleta viewpoint. Sucre is known for its white colonial architecture and vibrant university atmosphere.
Day 3 – Sucre – Tarabuco – Sucre
Day trip to the traditional town of Tarabuco, famous for its Sunday indigenous market. Locals wear traditional clothing and speak Quechua. Free time to explore the colorful artisan and textile stalls. Return to Sucre in the afternoon.
Day 4 – Sucre – Potosí (approx. 3 hours)
Drive to Potosí, one of the highest cities in the world (4,090 m / 13,420 ft). Along the way, enjoy changing landscapes from valleys to highlands. Arrival and visit of the historic center: Compañía Tower, 10 de Noviembre Square, and the Santa Teresa convent.
Day 5 – Potosí
Guided visit to an active mine in Cerro Rico to learn firsthand about the miners’ tough lives and Potosí’s silver boom in the colonial era. In the afternoon, visit the National Mint Museum (Casa de la Moneda), one of the best-preserved colonial buildings in Bolivia.
Day 6 – Potosí – Uyuni (approx. 5–6 hours)
Scenic drive to Uyuni, gateway to the world’s largest salt flat. Stop at the haunting Train Cemetery, home to rusted steam locomotives from Bolivia’s railway heyday. Overnight in Uyuni.
Day 7 – Uyuni – Salar de Uyuni – Tahua
Start your salt flat adventure. Visit Colchani village, salt mounds, salt eyes, and the original Salt Hotel. Cross the vast white expanse to Incahuasi Island, famous for its giant cacti and panoramic views. Picnic lunch. Afternoon drive to Tahua, at the base of Tunupa Volcano. Overnight in a salt hotel.
Day 8 – Tahua – Desert – Ojo de Perdiz
Continue south through surreal altiplano landscapes. Visit Chiguana Salt Flat, viewpoint of Ollagüe Volcano, and high-altitude lagoons: Cañapa, Hedionda, and Honda, with flamingos and wild vicuñas. Overnight in Ojo de Perdiz, a remote desert location with rustic but cozy lodging.
Day 9 – Ojo de Perdiz – Laguna Colorada – Geysers – Laguna Verde – Uyuni
Journey through the Siloli Desert with a stop at the Stone Tree. Explore the stunning red waters of Laguna Colorada, home to thousands of flamingos. Continue to the Sol de Mañana geysers with steaming fumaroles and boiling mud. Visit the emerald-green Laguna Verde at the foot of Licancabur Volcano. Return to Uyuni by evening.
Day 10 – Uyuni – Flight to La Paz
Transfer to the airport and flight to La Paz. Upon arrival, city tour including the Witches’ Market, Sagárnaga Street, Murillo Square, and an exciting ride on the cable car system for sweeping views of the city and Mount Illimani. Overnight in La Paz.
Day 11 – La Paz – Copacabana – Isla del Sol – Copacabana
Early morning transfer to Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake. In Copacabana, visit the Basilica of the Virgin of Candelaria. Boat ride to Isla del Sol and hike up the Inca Steps to the Sacred Fountain. Lunch with a lake view. Return to Copacabana to overnight.
Day 12 – Copacabana – La Paz
Free morning to relax by the lake or shop for souvenirs. Afternoon transfer back to La Paz. Final night to enjoy a farewell dinner or an evening stroll in the city.
Day 13 – La Paz – Departure from Bolivia
Transfer to the airport at the scheduled time. End of services. Thank you for discovering Bolivia with us!
